Autonomous Floor Cleaning: This Invention Aims to Complete the Circle

Debut in Milan: LIVE presentation by Hagleitner

Zell am See, May 27, 2025 – Cleaning robots have become established in professional building maintenance. Until now, however, one crucial piece of the puzzle has been missing for full autonomy: cleaning robots should be able to independently supply themselves with cleaning solution. This is where Hagleitner comes in.

With integral 2ROBOT, the Austrian hygiene company presents the first automatic concentrate-dosing device for cleaning robots—a kind of "fuel station" developed specifically to meet the requirements of automated floor cleaning.

The innovation will make its debut at the international cleaning trade fair ISSA-Pulire in Milan.

Fuel Station Principle

"The principle works similarly to a gas station," explains Managing Director Stefanie Hagleitner. "integral 2ROBOT acts as the fuel pump—but for cleaning solution instead of fuel." The device is wall-mounted and directly connected to the water supply: water flows in, is mixed with the concentrate in the correct dosage, and the ready-to-use cleaning solution is then pumped through a hose into the storage tank of the docking station. As soon as the cleaning robot docks, it automatically refuels with freshly mixed cleaning solution—this way, the robot is ready for its next deployment without any manual intervention.

According to the manufacturer, the system works with any commercially available docking station that has a power and water supply.

Highly Efficient Concentrate

The dosing unit comes with the matching high-concentrate, which proves to be especially economical: one cartridge is enough to clean up to 130,000 square meters of floor—an area almost as large as eighteen football fields.

Real-Time Data on Fill Levels and Consumption

integral 2ROBOT provides real-time information on fill levels and consumption. Sensors monitor both, and the data is accessible via an app. This is intended to provide transparency and make resource use as efficient as possible.
